Other fake skin brands have a glossy back side, which does not allow stencils to stick. Not only did we make two tattooable sides, we gave each side its own texture; an ultra-realistic leather grain texture on the front, and a silky smooth paper-like texture on the back. *** Pure Silicone, Not Rubber *** TrueSkin is made of 100% platinum silicone in its products, no rubber blends. This type of silicone is used in museums to create molds for archives and can last 100 years or more without degrading. *** Super Thick: It was also important for us to make a product that was thick enough and opaque enough to tattoo both sides without the other side showing through.
