Our bowling leather shammy pad is made of premium all-natural buffalo leather. The material of this towel is nothing like a microfiber towel or shammy. It will wipe away the oil on the bowling ball instantly and you will be ready to throw your ball oil-free! Every time you use it, this towel will get rid of all the oil on your bowling balls almost instantly. You will not ever want to use any other bowling towels. Some may ask why do I need to get rid of oil on the ball frame to frame, and the answer is simply having an oil free bowling ball can maximize the hooking potential of the bowling ball. If you don’t wipe away the oil on the ball then your bowling ball will absorb the oil which then can make your ball hook less than it should. And lastly, you don’t want your fingers to get affected by the oil. Maintenance (How to take care of your towel): This buffalo leather material absorbs the oil over time so eventually you may notice the oil doesn’t get wiped as fast then it’s just time for a wash! If you bowl once or twice a week then it takes about 6 months to 1 year before you need to clean it with hot water. The best way to wash it is to soak it in hot water for about an hour then you will notice all the oil that it soaked up will come out.
