Applying our tape-in hair extensions is easy and quick. However, it's essential to follow the proper steps to ensure a seamless and long-lasting result.
How To Apply Tape-In Hair Extensions
Start with clean, dry hair. Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to remove any product buildup, as this will help the tape adhere better.
Create a horizontal part about an inch above the nape of your neck and clip the rest of your hair above it. This will be your first section to apply the extensions.
Take one tape-in hair extension and remove the protective backing from the tape side.
Place the extension under a thin section of your natural hair, pressing the adhesive tape against the roots. Make sure the extension is about 1/4 inch away from the scalp to avoid any discomfort.
Take another tape-in extension with the adhesive side exposed and place it over the top of the previously applied extension, sandwiching your natural hair in between the two extensions.
Press down firmly to secure the tapes together.
Continue working upwards, section by section, following your natural hairline. As you move to higher sections, make sure you leave enough space between extensions.
After applying all the extensions, you may need to cut and blend them into your natural hair for a seamless look.
Style your hair as desired
Avoid washing your hair for at least 48 hours after application to give the adhesive time to set properly.
