Use the Cleaning Cartridge every 6 months to maintain the performance of ionizers. 1. Power off the unit and unplug it. (Be certain to shut off the faucet. Never power on the unit during cleaning procedure.) 2. Remove the filter (Check if both o-rings were removed from the filter base.) 3. Install the cleaning cartridge. 4. Place the flexible hose and the secondary hose into a cup. 5. Turn on the faucet until both of the hoses are fully submerged. 6. Leave the unit sitting for 3~5 hours. (Best to sit overnight) 7. Return the flexible hose and the secondary hose to their positions. 8. Turn the water on and let run for 5~10 minutes. 9. Turn off the water. 10. Remove the cleaning cartridge and install the water filter. 11. Place the filter cover back to the unit. 12. Let the water run for 3 minutes. 13. Plug the unit back in and turn on the power.
