It may take more than several hours of sand passing through the neck of an hourglass before one masters the Hanayama HOURGLASS puzzle. This is a level 6 puzzle on a scale on 1 to 6 where 6 is the most difficult. Most will find the HOURGLASS Puzzle an excellent challenge. Requires much thinking, planning and many attempts at shifting pieces back and forth. Equally challenging is to put the puzzle back together. Occasionally someone will accidentally separate the pieces and think they are a genius !!!! NOT SO ! Mastering the puzzle means you can disassemble and assemble the four pieces easily. Meaning you know exactly which moves to execute to untangle the pieces and then to re-assemble.
